In many regions, unstable or limited grid infrastructure creates an urgent need for reliable hybrid power supply systems. Homes, small businesses, farms, and remote facilities often use solar energy and rechargeable batteries to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Existing imported hybrid inverters are expensive and often not optimized for local climatic conditions, power grid standards, or ease of maintenance. The development of an on-site hybrid inverter will create affordable, efficient, and reliable energy solutions that combine solar energy, batteries, and grid-based power supplies for stable power supply in both urban and rural areas.
A working prototype capable of providing stable DC to AC conversion with a sinusoidal output signal, MPPT for solar energy, and safe battery charge/discharge management. The inverter must demonstrate reliable firmware operation, correct protection operation, and communication with the building management System (BMS). The test results and recommendations for improvement will form the basis of the next version, designed for certification and mass production.

Purpose and description of task (project)
To develop a functional prototype of an MVP single-phase bidirectional inverter (1-2 kW) designed to convert direct current into alternating current and control energy flows between multiple power sources and loads. The device must support controlled bidirectional operation, real-time voltage and current regulation, and protection against electrical faults. The prototype will serve as a testing ground for testing the topology of the power stage, embedded control software and communication interfaces. The main focus is on achieving stable and efficient DC-to-AC conversion, accurate control algorithms, and reliable fault response.
