Problem description

Currently, the Brandt company uses information systems to automate mining engineering support. All geological surveying information is contained in digital form, and graphical documentation is performed using digital counterparts of the deposit. The materials are represented by digital models of the actual position of mining operations, block and frame models of the geological structure of the deposit, etc., which makes it possible to determine the optimal contours of the quarry using the Lurch-Grossman principle. At the same time, all data is based on the ODF vector graphics format, which makes it possible to use the data to create an optimization project without additional conversion. This, in turn, makes it possible not to lose the accuracy of the source materials.

Expected effect

As a result of using optimal quarry contours, the company's field development is expected to increase by 15%, which will lead to a 10% increase in profitability overall.
