Goal Create a printed circuit board for a DMX controller based on a modular architecture with the possibility of replacing or adding functional units (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, GSM, sensors, etc.). Main functions Transmission and reception of DMX512 signal via RS-485 interface. Manage scenes and effects via HTTP/REST API. The ability to update the configuration without soldering (removable modules). Modules Main controller: Arduino Mega / ESP32. Connection: RS-485 (MAX485); Ethernet (W5100/W5500) or Wi-Fi (ESP8266 module); Optional — GSM (SIM800/SIM808). Power supply: input 12 V DC, stabilizers 5 V and 3.3 V. Protection: diodes, fuse, TVS diodes via a DMX line. Connectors: XLR-3 or XLR-5 for DMX IN/OUT, power terminals. Requirements for the printed circuit board The form factor is a compact board with connectors for a standard case. The ability to assemble on a breadboard or printed circuit board (Gerber files). Signatures of all modules and pins on the top layer. A separate area for power supply and protection of DMX lines. Additionally Support for OTA updates (for ESP32). Status output (LEDs: power, error, DMX activity). The debugging UART port.
A very urgent project
