Problem description

The formation of large amounts of metallurgical waste is one of the significant problems of the modern metallurgical industry. These wastes include slags, ash, dust, sludge and other by-products formed during the smelting and processing of metals. The problem of the formation and disposal of TMO affects both the economic and technological aspects of the activities of metallurgical enterprises. Storage of slags and slurries requires large territories, and their disposal is accompanied by significant costs. From an economic point of view, the formation of a large volume of TMO reduces the profitability of metallurgical production.
