In PC No. 4, after drying the material and subsequent transportation, due to the proximity of vertical and horizontal conveyors due to the high abrasiveness of the supplied materials, the gate valves of vertical conveyors wear out quickly, and in this regard, there is a partial mixing of charge materials such as chromium ore and reducing agent (an increase in the ash content of reducing agent). In the Ferroalloy Fractionation and Shipment Shop, finished products are shipped through a container node. The gate valve is used at the container assembly in the form of a distributor on conveyors. During the shipment of finished products, there is a constant contact of ferrochrome with the gate valve. Ferrochrome, in turn, is an abrasive material, which results in rapid wear of the gate walls.
