Problem description

Currently, the assessment of the effectiveness of IT school courses is based on disparate indicators (individual surveys, manual reports, subjective feedback from teachers). This leads to the following problems: there is no single idea about the quality of courses; it is difficult to identify weaknesses in the training program; it is difficult to assess the impact of changes in the course on students' results; Managerial decisions are made without relying on objective data. A centralized analytics system is required to scale learning and improve the quality of educational products.

Expected effect

For an IT school: improving the transparency of course quality; the ability to quickly identify and fix learning problems; improving the efficiency of software updates; reducing risks when scaling. For students: practical experience with the data-driven approach; developing analytical and product thinking skills; understanding the role of metrics and data in product management.

Purpose and description of task (project)

To develop a concept and requirements for a system that will allow an IT school to evaluate the effectiveness of educational courses based on data and make informed product and management decisions. The IT school needs to move from an intuitive assessment of the quality of courses to a systematic analysis of student learning data. This requires designing a digital solution that combines data on student activity, learning outcomes, and feedback. The project involves performing tasks specific to the roles of a system analyst and product manager, including analyzing data sources, creating metrics, and describing requirements for an analytical system.
