Purpose and description of task (project)
Improving the energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of steam generators used for steam-thermal effects in the production of high-viscosity oil
Technological process / Upgraded steam generation plant
The operation of highly viscous oil deposits is associated with technological and environmental constraints due to low energy efficiency and a significant carbon footprint of dry steam generation processes. The key technological deficiencies of steam generators in the field include: 1. Low efficiency (efficiency) — does not exceed 75% due to obsolescence of equipment. 2. Lack of steam parameter monitoring systems — uncontrolled steam dryness leads to energy losses, condensation and corrosion of process lines. 3. Insufficient utilization of thermal energy — lack of heat recovery of flue gases and their afterburning. 4. High pollutant emissions — unoptimized burning of natural gas causes emissions of CO₂ and noₓ. 5. Lack of automation and quality of water treatment — manual control and the use of low-quality water reduce the reliability of installations. These disadvantages lead to an increase in operating costs, a decrease in the inter-repair period (MCI) of equipment and an increase in anthropogenic stress on ecosystems.
The development of innovative solutions and the evaluation of the effectiveness of these solutions in the case of the implementation of these solutions. In case of proven effectiveness of the developed solutions, development work will be carried out subsequently in order to modernize the solutions. What indicators will be used to measure the effect: The following indicators will be used to determine the effectiveness of research work • The increase in efficiency of steam generators is more than 5%. • Reduction of CO₂ and noₓ emissions by at least 5%. • Increase the MCI of the equipment by 15%. • Increase the energy efficiency of the process by more than 15%.
