Problem description

Currently, in general education schools in Kazakhstan, the process of explaining educational material is based on the use of disparate and non-systemic tools such as videos from the YouTube platform, printed textbooks, presentations and basic functions of interactive panels. These tools do not form a unified educational environment and do not provide a holistic, standardized and visually rich presentation of educational material. The existing teaching formats do not allow for visual and interactive demonstration of physical, mathematical and spatial processes. There is no possibility of dynamic visualization of formulas, properties of objects and patterns, which is especially critical when studying complex and abstract topics. This leads to the following problems: low student involvement in the learning process; a decrease in the level of understanding of the material, especially among students with a visual type of perception; additional burden on teachers who are forced to select and combine educational materials on their own; lack of a single standard for digital educational content; inequality in the quality of education between urban and rural schools. There are separate solutions on the market (for example, ROQED), but they are a set of disparate 3D models and video materials that are not structured in accordance with the school curriculum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and do not provide full-fledged intellectual support for the educational process.

The implementation of the system will allow: provide students with visually rich and standardized learning content; equalize the quality of education between urban and rural schools; increase student engagement and interest in the learning process; improve understanding of complex and abstract topics; reduce the time required to prepare teachers for lessons; to create a modern digital educational environment.

Purpose and description of task (project)

Development of an intelligent digital educational system designed for centralized visualization of educational materials in the school curriculum of the Republic of Kazakhstan using interactive 3D scenes and elements of intellectual learning support. The system should provide a uniform standard for the presentation of educational content for all schools, regardless of their geographical location, as well as increase the involvement and quality of understanding of educational material through visualization and automation of the educational process. The target users of the system are teachers and students of secondary schools. Type of technological solution The project involves the creation of an intelligent learning system that operates locally on interactive panels. The architecture of the solution should provide for the possibility of step-by-step expansion of functionality and the addition of new training modules in subsequent phases of product development. It is planned to develop a software solution with the following basic requirements: centralized library of educational content, structured according to the school curriculum of the Republic of Kazakhstan; interactive visualization of educational materials (3D objects, scenes, processes); local operation of the system on an interactive panel without the need for a permanent Internet connection; the ability to update and expand content; modular approach to system development; the use of modern visualization technologies and 3D engines. At the first stage of implementation, a user interface for teachers and integration with external educational systems are not required. A detailed technical specification will be developed and provided to the selected contractor at the next stage of the project.
